2124 specimens of woody plants belonging to 19 species and 15 families were surveyed at historic Jewish cemetery in Częstochowa. The most frequent species of trees include: black locust Robinia pseudoacacia, Norway maple Acer platanoides and silver birch Betula pendula. Black elder Sambucus nigra dominates among shrubs. Young trees of the size between 30 and 120 cm and between 16 and 25 m high are the most numerous. The health condition of surveyed trees is mostly regarded as very good and good. Three out of 18 valuable trees were selected for protection in a form of natural monuments. 24 gravestones-matzevahs with plant-like motifs were also surveyed and described at the necropolis. Dendroflora of the park is untended and needs to be quickly tidied up, because it is dangerous for people visiting this place and for valuable matzevahs.
