Silvarum Colendarum Ratio et Industria Lignaria

The aim of the work was to analyze the economic effectiveness of selected breeding procedures carried out in the forest districts of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Szczecinek. These activities were carried out in 2011-2015. Information from selected breeding operations, i.e. late cleaning with harvesting, early thinnings and late thinnings, was used for the calculations. Data on costs and revenues from these works were obtained from the Forest Inspectorate of Szczecinek and the Forest Inspectorate of Czarnobór. The source of information were reports from the databases of the State Forests Information System. The paper analyzes the economic effectiveness in terms of different types of forest habitats and the type of activities performed. One-way ANOVA analysis of variance was used for statistical inference. After carrying out the significance test for the explored values, it can be concluded that the range of activities performed and the type of habitat (only in thinnings) had a determining impact on the differentiation of the profitability of treatments.
