The paper investigated the course of proceedings for the provision of forest services based on the Public Procurement Law (Act…, 2019) based on the example of selected Regional Directorates of State Forests (RDSF) in 2023. The collected data were used to analyze the number of announced procedures in the forest districts of the selected Regional Directorates necessary to select contractors in procedures for the provision of forest services, the number of awarded service packages in subsequent procedures, including general forest service packages and specialized packages, the offer value index (Wwo), and the competitiveness index of the procedures (Wk). Based on the conducted research, it was found that tender procedures were prolonged, the competitiveness of tenders for the provision of forestry services was low (average Wk = 1.04), specialized service packages were relatively rarely adopted practice (15%), and the prices offered by contractors in most cases differed from the amounts allocated by forest districts for the execution of the order (average Wwo = 110.9%).
